Pubbelly Fish Pop-Up

New And Noteworthy

Pubbelly Boys Andreas Schreiner, Jose Mendin and Sergio Navarro just launched a new pop-up concept, PB Fish, a Sunset Harbour fish shack, at PB Steak at 1787 Purdy Avenue on South Beach, and featuring affordable seafood specialties and innovative rum-based cocktails, weekdays from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Inspired somewhat by the ocean side seafood shacks of his native Puerto Rico, Chef Mendin creates a menu of raw bar, snacks, and sandwiches, meant to be enjoyed in the late afternoon while sipping refreshing rum cocktail. “We’re so excited to launch this concept,” says Schreiner. “We envision folks coming right off the beach or from a day of paddle boarding, and sitting back to have a small bite and cocktail or two as the sun sets over the harbor. It’s really a beautiful time to be in and outside of the restaurant and we wanted to showcase that.”
Menu items will include a Raw Shack ($1-market price) with choices such as dollar East Coast Oysters with Ponzu mignonette; Little Neck Clams with green Tabasco sangrita and PEI Mussels “a la chalaca”; as well as stone crab claws, a ceviche of the day, Tuna Tartare Sliders with ginger, sea lettuce, tofu mayo; Black Bass Crudo with miso lime vinaigretta, pecans, and palmitos, or Mendin’s famous PB Steak Taquitos.
Reservations will be available through,, and by calling the restaurant.
