In 1969, Byron and Virginia Hardin began serving the world's best burgers at the first Hodad’s on the end of Santa Monica Ave in Ocean Beach. After a few moves, in 1991, the restaurant opened the doors to its present spot in the heart of Newport Avenue. Twenty years later, a second restaurant greeted the public in beautiful downtown San Diego. A year later, Hodad’s partnered up with the San Diego Padres and opened in Petco Park (exclusively during the Padres season). staff anybody can ask for,” as Bossman used to say. With a passionate team and fantastic food, Hodad’s has created a delicious combo of success that is enjoyed by tourists and locals alike.
